The Mitochondria and Chloroplast both make energy for the cell.
Mitochondria
Mitochondria is a organelle that produces energy for the cell to use. There may be more then one per cell it all depends on how much energy a cell requires or needs. Mitochondria will be inside the cytoplasm. This means they could be anywhere within the cell. Mitochondria is a really helpful organelle that is found in both Animal and Plant cell.

Chloroplast
Chloroplast is a organelle found only in plant cells. Their function is to collect sunlight and turn it into sugars for the cell to use. They do this through out Photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is when the plant collects sunlight for the it to make sugar. Then when the sunlight his the place they make a combination of Carbon Dioxide and Water. After the molecular reaction happens they turn into sugar and oxygen. That is how the organelle plays a big role in Photosynthesis.
